Ok...I am having my son in 6 weeks and have picked out the name Tommy. I chose it b/c I Love the Rugrats!! I named my 3 year old Dylan so I could call him Dill Pickles, and want his brother to be named Tommy so I can call them the Pickle Brothers. I know this is kinda immature, but I have always wanted it like that. Also, Tommy's middle name is going to be Lee after his father, but my mother is having a fit!!!!! She doesn't like Tommy Lee.... so she doesn't want me to name my son that. Give me some input on this name and let me know what you think. Should I forget my Rugrat obsession and think of a different name, or go with what I want and stay with Tommy?

I think you should name your children what you want,but remember society doesn't always see things the way we do. What might be cute now,could cause embarresment for your children later. Remember peer pressure? Kids can be very unkind and cruel. I bowed to pressure from my mother also when I had my first daughter. Have always wished I hadn't. Personally I think Dylan and Tommy are nice names. The pickle brothers maybe can be your at home name for them. Besides,naming your child after your husband should not be considered wrong.

I would forget the Rugrats what your sons are going to be telling there friends when there teens they were named after the Rugrats. They won't like that at all. Other boy and girls will laugh at them.
You need good strong names for boys Dylan is a good name but Tommy is to common.
And I don't like Tommy Lee either and I have three boys.

Don't let your mother be the one who names your child... If Tommy Lee is what you and your husband like then that is what you should go with. If you let her think she was the reason you didn't name him the name you loved what's next then how you feed,bathe,or change him?

I think Tommy Lee is a cute name, if you really like the name stick with it. It's your child and you should be able to name him what you want. Congratulations!!

I think that you should think of a different name. But, that is just my opinion. Your opinion is probably different than mine. I just think that Tommy Lee is like your naming your son after Pamela Anderson's ex. But, I know that's not what your trying to do.

Sorry, but i say just forget about the rugrats idea....I love the name Dylan, which you named ur 1st child, but Im not a big fan of tommy.
Some boy names that I like are Kaden, Elijiah, Brady, Noah, Aden.....ya:D Hope this helped.

i think the rugrats are great too. But if you do decide not to name him tommy you should name him LOGAN. I love that name!

when it comes down to it, this is your child and you can name him what you please. but if you are worried about your mother, then keep the name tommy and use a different middle name. my husband named our son after his favorite baseball player so i don't think your should forget your "obsession." go with your gut, just remember he will have this name his whole life! good luck!
