there might be a problem with ur power management settings of your pc
it might be caused by a virus or a harmful file
u might wanna run a scan if u can
secondly this can be because of a hardware problem
happens sometimes when the power cord inside the mother board loosens up u might wanna have a look at that too. most probably that should fix the problem.
i won't recomment this but its a way too!!
u might wanna restore your pc and restart all the work again with the backup of all the data.

Sounds like you have a virus. If you're running Windows XP, try pressing F2 to access boot options when you start up the computer. This way you can run your box through DOS.
And then you should probably call a repairman.

Your problem might be hardware related. It could be overheating, or it could be a bad motherboard or memory. You should take it to a shop and have it checked out since it's really hard to tell from your description if the problem is in the hardware or software.

press F8 key and but in safe mode after boot close down then reboot if still same insert your install cd and select repair if this fails you have a problem which needs to be dealt with by a system overhaul hope to have been a help to you

Try unplugging the modem the blue box with things poking out, and the white box i forget what it is called,plug the white box back in, and wait for the lights to go up, but as soon as the lights go up and online is lite plug in the modem and it should work. I think! good luck

u prolly have a virus in your computer somewhere if that is the case then your computer is def going to do that.. so If i were you i would get some kinda virus scanner.. go to safemode and then run your scanner and see if any viruses are detected.. unless something like a powercords or something internal is wrong with your computer but it sounds more like a virus.. kuz it happened to me also...
