if your on Depo Provera you will get some odd bleeding during the first 2 to3 months until it settles into your system. I had to come off it after 7 years though because it gave me low oestrogen levels. I'm back on the pill now and actually feel better for it. Depo will increase weight unfortunately. As with any form of contraception it has it's good side and bad see how you go on it.Good luck.

Like urself, i had my first injection towards the end of june, an a kind of period arrived for 2 days, then nothing, until the end of july, i got 'blood' and have continued to get this every day since ! ! ! not enuf to call a 'period' but just enuf to have to wear 'knicker-liners' every day !!!
So, chic, u ent on ur own, its all to do with the hormones changing, cuz they've had a big kick up the a*s ! my friend is on her 3rd injiection, and had similar probs like us, her 2nd injection, started to just slow things down, and now having had her 3rd one, she dont get any periods at all, ''so far'' she says ! ! !
Hope i've helped, no u havent 'grossed me out' u gotta get to the point afterall ent you ? ? ?
Good luck with ur next one soon ! ! ! !

Hi,
I got spotting for a while and after the second or third injection my period stopped.
Very good if your not good in taking the pill and def. don't wanna get pregnant. It can take a while to get pregnant once you start getting injection.
I found it good although I got a bit cranky just before my next injection.
I am getting married so went on the mini pill, incase we want a baby in a year or so.
Good luck,
T.

I had it and i had no periods what so ever. My friend had the implanon which works the same way and she bled lightly non-stop for 3 months. As long as your nurse says it's ok i'd assume there's no problem as everyones body reacts differently to the hormones.
Just see how it goes and if you're not happy with it don't have your next one.

Yes I had to have the injection pill after having my daughter. I had same side effects as you. It also made me put on more weight when I should have been losing it. I will never have it again.
