i think it was called the troubleshooter. good luck finding it

If it wasn't Troubleshooter (Sir John Harvey-Jones of ICI, fat bloke with a 'tache), then it might have been "I'll Show Them Who's Boss" with Sir Gerry Robinson (former head of Granada, grey-haired, soft-spoken with piercing blue eyes).
