How many miles are on your vehicle? What kind of vehicle is it? Are you getting any lights? If its been while since you done it (10,000 miles+) it maybe it's time to change out your air filter and oil. If you engine has been overheating to the extreme the old oil needs to be changed along with the oil filter. Overheating engines can cut oil life dramatically. If you have an old air filter it maybe clogged making your car work extra hard to make up for the mixture difference in the fuel. Radiator flush maybe also needed if the vehicle is over 60,000 or 3 years and hasnt had it done yet. Just look up radiator flush online and you will get the specifics for your car. If the above doesnt help. Maybe your thermostat or your water pump is going out. Maybe it is as simple as not having enough water it the radiator. Its hard to say without the vehicle year, model, and mileage. If its a post 95 vehicle take it to an autozone or auto parts store and have them read the fault codes if you have any. Good Luck!!!!

It can be any of many things that cause it to overheat. Low on anti freeze, fan not working, belt is bad, water pump bad, even a head gasket. It would help if you would be more specific and tell us what you have checked yourself.

Have you tried checking your water pump and thermostat? It could also be worse if you live in a very hot area and/or are in traffic. If it happens often, I would ask a friend for a reference for an auto repair shop (don't just call the dealer), and give that person a call.

depends if your oil stick has water, if water vapor comes out of tailpipe, if it makes a mild clanking noise from engine, it could be your head gaskets. it will run you around 450.00 dollars if you find a mechanic that cheap.

Could be overheating. Try running your heater to get it off the engine.
