Well, he's as good as a player -manager as he retired just a few months back.

However, considering the current state of the Black Cats, if he can get them to win more games and be consistent, even if they dont win promotion, he'll be the darling of all clubs, who'l want to snap him up. Who knows he could go back to Man U to be an understudy for Sir Alex.

I wish him well though. He was a great footballer for Man U and I cant forget his rivalry with Patrick Viera. All the best to him. Might be his best shot at being 'the special one' after Mourinho of course.

Good manager...when Sir Alex retires, Roy Keane should take over Man U

Would this be their "World Class Manager" then???? Well, he doesn't have much to live up to I suppose.
I thought Niall Quinn was one of the Irish Players who was totally pissed off at Roy Keane after he stormed out of the 2002 World Cup... It'll be interesting if nothing else.

as a man u and Ireland fan, I'm unsure. 4 a great player, domestically, and internationally 2 finish both of those careers the way he did, even if did make up wit the fai in the end still says something of his mindset not being up 2 the job at this time. a bit of coaching, and maybe in the future , yeah, but not now i think, but i would still wish him the best of luck, and no doubt, he will need it..

Does he actually have any coaching qualifications? Mind you it didn't stop Glen Roeder, did it?
