Avoid seeds, especially poppy seeds, sun flower seeds etc. Avoid too many sweets. Eat a high fiber diet, lots of salads, raw and cooked veggies, avoid high fat meats. Eat fish and poultry.
Avoid Corn.
The highly undigestible things, the tiny things like seeds, these get caught in the diverticula that have formed on the walls of your colon and can cause diverticulitis, very painful, often requiring hospitalizations. Avoid the highly processed foods as these move sluggishly through the colon and again can clog the diverticula and leave a medium for infection.
Lots of water, and a high fiber diet are your best bets.
