Has anyone ever gotten a female Umbreon or Espeon? I'm curious as to wether their genders are preset or not, because I keep resetting and I find that their stats change each time. I understand the Eevee family is usually male, to make breeding more difficult.

from what i read in a game code, they are always male. it sucks, but the best way to get a female is through fire/leaf, and just save before you get that one, til you get a female of the nature you want.
it's already obvious the way you are looking for a base female that you understand why you want to breed without dittos
