Do you want serious or idealistic answers?

It can only work if we are willing to give up some of our liberties, our need for newer and better items in every aspect of our lives at less cost to ourselves.

Micro chip everyone on the planet, so that they have their details recoded in the same way as valuable animals and have chip- checking on every step of an immigration journey.
Have records of who they are going to be employed by and as what recorded on the chips.
Where I live , there is a constant stream of men and women turning up at their embassies having been led to believe that they were leaving their countries for better jobs, only to find them non existent or certainly not much more than slave labour.
Have universal rewards for families that keep their offspring out of harm's way.
Make the goal of universal education a matter of course not a dream and make understanding and respecting human dignity an important part of that education.
Have start up schemes in every third world/eastern European country to ensure that everyone get a chance of making a living wage.
I could probably rabbit on for the next half hour; but until we all learn to fundamentally change how we view foreigners nothing is ever going to change.

Why is it the government's responsibility to stop human trafficking? What do you expect it to do? I am against it, of course. But it seems more of a private group thing rather than a government thing. The government can make a statement saying they oppose the practice and will do whatever it can to make sure that it's not involved as best it can.

Unfortunately, the practice of human trafficking will always go on, as it has since the beginning. As long as there are profitable markets for the illegal buying and selling of humans (slavery, body parts, etc.) this will continue.
