Tell him of yoru situation. If you tell him that you are amrried then you will HAVE to give your spouse the Army benefits, such as healt insurance, housing, survivor's benefits etc. It's the ARMY law.
Being married is not going to preclude you from joining, but you HAVE to (is not a matter of choice) to enroll him in the military benefits.
You can have some separations papers draw. Consult an attorney and file for divorce. Don't wait for him to do it, men are procratinators, Don't let him ruin your plans of joining the military.
Get a lawyer and file for divorce now, Otherwise, your husband will be entitled to a portion of your military retirement. It's 2.5% of yoru military retirement for each year of marriage, The more you wait, the more he will get.
Good luck

After the divorce, the protection tension owes you no longer something interior the way of advantages (permitting you on base, military scientific care and so on.) If the courtroom's award you alimony than like all interest the money could be rapidly setup to be despatched on your financial employer. If the Courts say your husband has to pay your wellness care, properly the courtroom's can no longer tension the army to accomplish that (your husband could could detect a private coverage provider).

This should not prevent you from joining the army, If you have children all you need is a guardian and a waiver.
