There's no "time frame"... IMO, one doesn't need to wait for divorce, it's fine to date right after separation. It all depends on how you feel about it - whether you "feel" ready, or not. There's nothing wrong with taking a break, either.

This is a personal choice. Some people divorce to remarry right away, because of cheating. Some people are forced into a divorce which can be difficult to get over without stress & pain for a period of time. Some have a fear of close relationships because of all that happened in the divorce. So, it depends on the indivisual.

When it feels right, do it. Don't base your life on time frames ... get out and live! Why should you wait? Are you in mourning? If you want to date - date!

The right time would be the point at which you can go out with a new person and not have the old baggage hanging over your head.

Each person is different. It took me two years to let go of the bad feelings. You must be rid of any resentment and hatred toward your ex or you are not ready to meet someone new.
