yep.
semi-formal is formal but not too over the top. ok that wasn't too helpful. i mean, it's casual but you can't wear jeans. so your outfit would be appropriate.

This depends so much on where you are from. In a big city, semi-formal usually means dressed up but not evening gowns and full suits.
In a small town, semi-formal could mean jeans and a sport jacket, and for girls jeans and a blouse.
What you have planned sounds fine.

qnbee is ideal on. I went to a semi formal very last month in stylish black slacks, a silver shell and silver mild weight jacket..... yet a sensible shrug might want to have worked , too. Silver chandelier earrings and silver strappy sandals. It became perfect for semi formal... I did ought to make investments in that silver shell and jacket. yet i visit positioned on them in the course of the Christmas and new 3 hundred and sixty 5 days seasons too.

Semi formal usually means dressier than casual, not as formal as a tux or evening gown with gloves - usually a dress knee length or longer and men in a suit is acceptable.

Sounds like a good outfit. Semi formal is dressing like for fine dining without being formal, like say for a prom.

Semi-formal is just what it suggests. You probably wore a "formal" gown to your prom. These days it really just means no jeans, shorts, blue-jeans, t-shirts, etc. I'd just wear a little black dress, nice jewelry and pretty shoes...but if you want to go long, go long. (Skin is in tho'.)

Formal would be an evening gown and opera gloves. Your outfits sound correct for that function.

Yes, you should be fine.
Semi-formal usually means dressy, but guys don't need to wear a full suit or tux. And women don't need to wear ball gowns.
