If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/
that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

When I was younger I got alot of zits. I tried alot of things before I found what worked for me. Wash your face every morning, and again at night. Use facial cleanser with acne treatment. Anything harsh will aggravate your skin, creating more acne. Use acne medication in the morning, and a acne treatment toner at night. Neutrogena is a good brand, and it won't hurt to do a facial once a week. Too much, just like too little, will just make it worse.

i personally had acne into my mid 20's, and it was awful, i tried all kids of products, bought and prescribed, nothing worked, then i found a 'natural healing product' called "whitch hazel" you buy from a chemist, around £2:00 a bottle, use with a cotton wool pad, morning and night, wipe over the left side of the face, then get another pad, then the right side, then another pad to do the forhead and neck area, let it dry off naturally, DONT WASH OFF, and after around 7/10 days u wil start to notice a very big difference.
My god daughter has recently gone thru this, and i recommended this straight away, now she uses it every day, even with no acne, and she is clear of spots. Its a perfect astringent for propper daily cleansing, and has many other uses, u can use it for stings, bites, rashes, itching, cuts and scrapes, also it helps bring bruising out quicker wen u've got a bruise thats takin its time to come out.
This product is even safe to use on babies and children and also pets, with similar problems, it really is the best and cheapest "acne product" i've ever come accross.

First of all a couple of these people are imbeciles. DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE EXCESSIVELY, that will only make it worse and that is a lot of people's mistake.
I've used proactive, BenzaClin and Clindoxyl gel to this date and I regret even bothering with any because once you use either [Benzaclin or Clindoxyl gel] you have to keep using it or else your acne comes back even worse and mine wasn't too bad to start with.
Either way I suggest Proactive because it comes with a cleanser as well so if you have sensitive skin like me...you don't have to go around searching for one.
If you choose the other route, I suggest Clindoxyl gel [$37 CAN] which will last you almost 2 months along with washing your face morning and night with Cetaphil.
Ps; Always pat dry your face with a CLEAN towel and never sleep with make-up on!

You can use products like Clearasil, and religiously cleanse your skin many times a day. However, I think some people are just naturally more prone to having acne than others. A healthy balanced diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables, and regular exercise may help. I would recommend that anyway, though.

Maybe go see a dermitologist. I went and got put on a drug called Accutane. It worked really well and my acne was gone really quickly but it did have some down sides, like my lips were always chapped and I kept getting nose bleeds. Overall though, it was worth it as my skin has been great ever since.

I have suffered acne so much as many of you have had.
I had tried everything such as pills, crème, lotion, those are made by brand name companies, but I was so stressed because they didn’t work.
One day, I knew aloe is good to treating acne, and one of my Korean friends told me of a product called Aloe Enne from Namyang Aloe.
I tried it several weeks, and I am so pleased about the result.
After cleaning up my face, I put it on my face, and it feels like my skin gets much moist and healthier. I think aloe really works.
So I hope you have the good skin too.
