Best? "F**king Hostile" by Pantera...I love that song, listen to it before I work out and before soccer games.
Worst? Might have to be the sell out Metal/Rap song "Bring The Noise" by Anthrax & Public Enemy...what was that all about???

Best? There are so many, but I will choose
"The Trooper" by Iron Maiden
and worst? I don't know that i would consider it metal, but anything by Metallica after the Black album (not counting the Garage Days Inc. covers they did, some of which were pretty good)

The best heavy metal song ever written is "Opiate" (by Tool, of course). That's a fact.
The worst heavy metal song ever written was "You Shook me All Night Long" arranged by AC "Butt Rock" DC. That's my opinion.

stairway to heaven by zep is not a heavy metal song. however they do have heavy metal songs, along with any other type of music.

I'm going with Slipknots Wait and Bleed amd Enter Sandman by Metallica...they a great metal song. they worst and most over played on the radio would be Areials by S.O.A.D. .. the radio is what maybe me hate Aerials .they are ok but there are better bands.
