My best friend just told my deepest darkest secret at a sleepover I wasn't invited to. I really want to stay friends. But that really hurt and she doesn't even understand how bad she hurt me.

make her understand how badly she hurt your feelings. maybe take a break and don't hang out w/ her as much but talk and tell her how you feel. it's up to you to forgive her, but she needs to have respect for you. tell her it's hard for you to trust her, and that it really sucks that she broke your trust. talk things out. if she's sensitive to the fact that she hurts you, you could give her another chance. if she's an asshole to you while you're telling her how you feel, she's not a good friend.

Well u can still be friends with her (just not close) just find a new best bud. A real/true friend wouldn't tell a secret even if they thought it wasn't a big deal. Just watch what u tell her is all I can say. Oh and why were u not invited to the sleepover??? ... She went with out u to. She probably was trying to impress them at the sleepover by taring into u. Some friend...

That was not right. You can stay friends if you want, but you just want be able to tell secrets to your friend. But me honesty I would very hurt and I don't know if I could be friends with that person.

She hurt you and betrayed your trust. If you feel that you need to continue the friendship confront her. Calmly tell her you are hurt (play on her emotions) and you want to trust her again but you may not be able to. If she is a true friend she will appoligize and never do it again.

Wow. You know I have friends like that 2. But that doesnt sound like a REAL friend. I know its hard to break that up that is messed up. Friends tell everything to them so they can understand not so they can gossip about it. Jellybelly123123@yahoo.com if you need anything

i have learned that a good friend is there for you always, and if that friend make something just to loose your trust don't worry she have to have a good reason, but you have to look if she is sincere with you but if she is not, even if you get hurt, you will know that she left to be your best friend since then.

NOPE !!! they are not always there for you because sometimes they may have their own issues they have to deal with and you have to wait !! but this one does not sound like she was ever a real friend to start with .. drop her as a friend and find a better one !!

Well friends hurt you. Sometimes you get passed it and other times you can't. So you gotta decide whether she's worth trying to move forward with or whether you need to get over her and move on without her. Your choice, no one elses. Sorry.
