no. i am currently in love with a man i know that nothing can come of, but i cant help it. we click and we get along and we have a lot in common. and i love hanging out with him.

Not really, your body and soul tell you when you fall in love, generally your brain tells you different, but then how many of us listen to reason!!
A lot of people fall in love with the wrong person, but they still fall in love even though they know they are wrong for them, so i would say that's a definate no.

Help in what way???...do you mean that you are in love with someone and you are having second thoughts or is it that people around you do not understand how you could fall for someone like you have???.....ride out the storm...if you are in love enjoy it...a great feeling....it Will mellow out soon enough and you will be able to think with a clear mind and all will be OK with your decision making process then

I always fall in love with the wrong person. I think I am too sensitive to chemical attraction and so I fall hard. I'm currently doing battle, heart vs head over someone who is geographically and situationally wrong. but I believe that anything can happen so it's hard to sack off the idea. I hope it does; the object of my affection is fabulous and they've really gotten my pot stirred up... bugger!!!

This is my opinion: Yes.
I think you can control your own feelings and nobody elses.. its just that you really fancy that person and your heart beats extra fast blah blah blah... it lust, puppy love - infatuation, and can't stop thinking about that person.. (so most people will class this as love, but in fact - its too much chocolate, caffeine in your system..)
I think to actually fall in love with someone, is when you've been together for a while and you are really happy, you get on in everyway, but still bicker a little.. :s

I think we can. If we spend a lot of time with someone and they pay a lot of attention to us we may not like them but could possibly fall in love with them.

NO, not at all. falling in love with someone is like filling the hole inside of yourself, you have no choice in the matter, it just happens and you cannot fight it, even if it kills you.
unless you mean can you help someone you have fallen in love with, then yes it is your duty to them and yourself.
love is a religion even to an athiest.

I don't think you can. I think you are destined to meet the right one and there is no way you could not fall in love when you meet. There is that feeling of just knowing he/she is it.
