Here are some good ones:

Jack and Jill went up the hill,
To fetch a pail of water,
They were taken in to care,
And the parents jailed for child slavery.

Or how about the three little pigs formed a support group so that the wolf could work through it's anti-social behavioual problems.

Don't quite have the same effect, do they?

Most of these were written a long time ago before people felt the need to be sensitive to children's etmotional needs..there are re-dos of certain rhymes, even "Now I lay me down to sleep" has had some words changed, "Rock a bye baby now ends "and mama will catch (baby's name) cradle and all..

Nursery rhymes have been cleaned up over the years... You should get the out dated versions of them if you think they contain scary lyrics now.

Cause nursery rhymes are stupid. Send your child to a nursery that will develop lifes skills and train his memory in more productive ways. Let's face it...nursery rhymes have no meaning and will benefit your child in no way whatsoever.

To teach a lesson of morality to the children. You have to remember that these nursery rhymes were written hundreds of years ago when they weren't concerned with child psychology.
