how can i find out ,if a corp. name exits,i wana choose a name ,but dont want to pay for each check a fee,is there a website or other place where you can check name availibility?
(especially in NY)

check with the Secretary of the State (Corporation Division), usually there is a form with three spaces for names, fill out the form with three different names, and the Secretary will let you know, be sure to send in the fee also

Here is the site to search for a corporation that is registered with the NY SOS. Every SOS has an online database. Unfortunately, name availability rules vary from state to state. You're probably safe if you do not find a name that is deceptively similar to yours.

I did a check online with the sec'y of state. Didn't have to pay a fee.
