Never heard of that, but I do know that lemon is proven to lighten darker blond hair, so I'm assuming that it would work for facial hair, too. Don't use too much of it, though, because it could irritate your skin. The only area safe to use it would probably be your upper lip...it's not toooo sensitive.

I have heard of lemon being applied and then when you sit out in the sun, it should have some bleaching properties, but no where near the effect that you can achieve by using a bleaching kit.

lemon can act as bleach if brought out in the sun...no need for the sugar....thats just lemonade

I've heard lemon juice can lighten hair - I've tried it before, with no luck.

I've always heard a little bleach Clorox does the trick.

Try lemon and peroxide. That's what I use and it works good.
