Get a barbell, go to an alternating lunge position (like kneeling down to ask a girl to marry you, only not quite all the way to the ground) Then jump as high as you can with the barbell on your shoulders and switch legs. Repeat for sets of 15 - 20 3 times, once on Monday and once on Friday.
Do sprints. Set up a 40 yard sprint and time yourself on it. Run it ten to twenty times (not right in a row, take some time to do it) on Tuesday and Thursday.
Get lighter. If you have any spare body fat, cut your daily calories by about 10% and eat six times a day instead of three (small meals.) Drink lots of water.
Doing all three of these things should add some significant inches to your vertical jump.

do some jump rope every day and get down real low to the ground like a squat and jump as high as you can. keep doing this along with leg strengthening exercises like lunges and calf raises and you should jump at least two centimeters higher. :)

Just keep jumping around. The more you do it, the more muscle you'll add to your calves and the higher you'll jump. Take Larry Bird for example...The man got his hops by diggin a hole in the ground and jumping in and out of it. Once he was able to do it easily, he just made the hole deeper and started again. Its as simple as that.

stand with your toes on a 2x4 and do calf raises. You can really do this with anything not just a 2x4. it will make your calves rock hard and improve your vertical jump.
