True, but here's the reason that I consider life to be a box of chocolates:
Every time you try to move forward, you get stuck in a particulary sticky situation and are sucked down into it. When you finally break out of it, you start to crawl forward again, and then you fall again. It's an endless cycle of crawling and falling, so why not just give up and embrace the falling? The only thing that can save you is if you encounter a sweet enough chocolate that gives you something to live for. But those are rare.

Life is a box of chocolates, there's a picture on the top of the box that shows you exactly what's inside, but the chocolates in the picture look much better than what's inside when you open it.

Be thankful it is. Imagine what life would be like otherwise. Oh, for awhile it would seem great, knowing everything that's going to happen. Then life would be like watching a movie several times. Boring. I like life as it is, a box of chocolates.

Yes, it is....and until you bite into a few you never really know what you'll get! Sometimes you get those really great creamy caramels, and other times you get the raspberry fillings that no one likes (why do they even put those into a box of chocolates?). -RKO-

It is. Some times things are nutty, sometimes they are sticky, but most off all things are hard to predict based on the outer cover.
