eBay is the largest online marketplace and one of the most popular ways to earn an income from home with a PC and internet connection. Selling on eBay is inexpensive and easy to start. Ebay has a number of tools for sellers to maximise sales. These are eBay Pulse, Hot items report, merchandising calendar. By sourcing products at a low price, you can increase your profit. Here is my advice...

Go you eBay and look for the hot selling items. Pay particular attention to the brands and any other information where they come from such as Hong Kong or China. Do a search for that particular brand with the word 'wholesale' or 'dropship' in Google until you turn up the supplier.

Very often Powersellers and other dropshipper will guard their sources very strenously. It is up to you to do your homework and find your own little niche. Don't expect to glean much up-to-date information from dropshipper sites and forums without paying for the privilege. I know this because I spent much time hanging around these places looking for the crumbs off the tables of the big hitters until I realized that if you want anything bad enough be prepared to work for it...

I used to work full-time selling on ebay. Lately the fees have been going up, with the listing visibility coming down. I now sell on my website.

Nobody is going to tell you their supplier, because they don't want the competition. You'll have to find that yourself. www.thewholesaler.co.uk or The Trade magazine from W H Smiths is a good start.

If you need any advice then email me.

I've heard of folks making upwards of three hundred thousand a year or more on that site. They simply buy sale items from high-end department stores and sell them for close to full price on e-bay. Not a bad way to make a living.

Ebay has on line help to help you solve these problems. There are many, many people who are making over $100,000 a year on Ebay.
