I have lived in ND all my life. I have traveled around the USA, it is always good to get home. The people here are hard working, but friendly. Dickinson is one of the eight larger towns. The local economy is based on cattle, small grain farming and oil. Dickinson is near Teddy Roosevelt Natl. Park and the North Dakota Badlands - in its own way, one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

Will people be friendly to you, that depends. If you have a big city attitude and act like you think you or where you are from is some how better than the people around you, you will have a hard time. If you take people for who they are and try to get along, you will meet some off the most civilized people in the world. We do actually know about the rest of the world, - we just like what we have here, better.

God help you and give you courage for going to that isolated and lonely state.
