I was just like you. Still am sometimes.
Pretend that these people who you will meet for the first time, will never see you again. You can do or say whatever you want, because they will not see you again. It doesn't matter what they think of you, you'll never find out, because today is the last time you will ever see them!
Do not waste your life being scared about what people think of you. You need to put yourself out there and do what you want to. Say what you want to. Some people will think you are weird, others won't. But guess what, you think some people are weird and others aren't too!
When you are shy, people actually tend to think that you're stuck up and snotty! That's worse than anything.
You are way cooler than you think. Just do it, and you'll be fine. The more you try, the easier it gets. Nobody can get me to shut up now! But I wish I had been more outgoing when I was in school. This is the time of you're life when you get to try all kinds of things, meet all kinds of people. Join a club, or do a sport. When I finally tried softball, I loved it. I had a group of people who had something in common with me. Just try to do everything! Talk to everybody. Don't waste your life being scared of other people, like I did. You only get one chance at this, and then it's gone. The fear goes away. Like riding a roller coaster. You're scared, but if you ride again ,and again, you know how the ride goes, and what will happen, so it ends up being fun.
Good luck

What other people think of you is none of your business. What's important is what you think of yourself. A new school is not easy and I've done that too as a freshman in high school. I took it slow and stayed low key until I got to know the people. Then I saw which people I resonated with and it was easy to become friends.
You'll do fine, and what you're going through is something that many people have gone through and will be going through. Hang in there, take it a day at a time and everything will be ok.

Don't worry about what people think of you. You are you and nothing can change that. Shyness can be worked out by taking a big gulp and going up to someone just to say hello. You might want to participate in a speech class or drama class in school. Sometimes it works if you pretend you're brave and then you actually become brave. Cheer up and good luck!

You have to do just that "face it". If you have no confidence do things that take confidence. If you scared of what people think do something carefree and silly. If its hard for you to be yourself, just go for it anyway. A good way to gain confident is to join a sport or something.

This is one of those fake it until you make it circumstances. If you act brave and confident, pretty soon you will be. My dad always told me that you wouldn't care so much what people think of you if you knew how seldom they actually thought of you. Be yourself, smile a lot and be open to new people and experiences. Good luck!

You need professional counseling that you cannot get on the Internet. I am serious. I am not trying to ridicule you. You have taken the first step by admitting that you have a problem. Do not be afraid to approach a professional counselor with your concerns. Jesus loves you.

Don't worry, Allison. Just tell them that you know Dash Rockwood! But seriously, in these types of situations, people suggest picturing others in their' underwear. What I do is to imagine them as little children - because they all were at one time...

Remember you as great as the next person, if they are not going to kill you,not feeding you, clothing you, giving you a place to stay . Don't worry about what they think. Most of the time they are jealous
