Well i hate country and pop so theres not much difference after all.

I'd say the country music is ususally more fun and more relaxed as they sing about anything and have more of a homier feel to them on the videos. But for pop music it is all sexy and flashy like. Prime example is with Brittany Spears and various other pop divas. They sexify their videos and songs so that it would sell more. And the fun is more forced I think.

The main difference is how it affects your process of maturing if exposed to this music early.
examples;
Country music= Shania Twain
Pop Music = courtny Love
You should also be aware that the King of POP is Michael Jackson.

I think the biggest difference is the instruments used. You hear fiddles, steel guitars, banjos, dobros, and mandolins etc. much more widely used in country music.

Most country music is about people hurting each other or cheating on each other....in a whinny sort of way.

Country songs are based on real life
Pop songs are based on "wishful" life.

In a country song if you play it backwards, you get back your house, wife, kids, truck, life.
