I'm Cornish and I'd be more than happy to give a hand with the digging to seperate Cornwall from the rest of the UK! Failing that it would be a fantastic idea to be independant from England even if it's not physically!

Well, I am not Cornish, but I think Cornwall has strong Celtic roots and are culturally different from the rest of England...they should be independent from England...

How would such a tiny country survive? It's just not feasible. However if the Cornish could raise the taxes on selfish people buying second homes in Cornwall to use for just a few weeks a year and pricing local people out of the market, I would applaud you.

Surely Cornwall is part of England and therefore part of the United Kingdom.
Could you afford to be truly independent or would you be looking for handouts from the British Government?

Does anybody outside the UK care? Irish and Cornish people dont want to be associated with England but you are all white, talk funny and eat tea and crumpets. There are much more important issues in the world

Nations consist of people, not lines on maps. Cornwall, like Ireland and half of the colonised world, has its own identity, language and culture which have been screwed up by upper-class English twats drawing lines on maps to maintain the flow of cheap goods and labour fron their "empire". You will never be English!

Sorry, but I thought you already had independence. :o)
Cornwall, the only place in the UK where I really do feel like a foreigner in my own country.
One of my friends hails from Cornwall and is as mad as a bag of frogs, but we love him dearly. Could be that's what the rest of the UK think of Cornwall in general,
( just a by the by, But why is what-his-name on the UK Q&A if he is not interested in UK questions. Strange.... )

Well, if you held a Revolutionary War against them, be sure to use muskets (the bullets spin, thus making them harder to dig out of wounded soldiers.)
I'd also recommend attacking from behind trees and in wooded areas. Also, be sure to wear a dark color, so you don't get spotted from several miles away.
This things worked for us, and England lost.
