Teflon is non-sticky Non-reactive.In my opinion it is like oil which make food non stick somewhat at the bottom of the pot.This is the reason after few days Teflon goes off from the pot surface.

teflon is sprayed on in liquid form and it dries to the implement that has been sprayed therefore the implement and teflon become one
