Refurbished phones are usually people that return phones, not because anything was wrong with them, but because they had no idea how to use it. Or they didn't like it and said it was malfunctioned just to get rid of it.

They are not better than new phones, but they can be almost the same.

it really depends on the quality of the phone before the person sent it back and how well the company fixed it if there was a problem. I'm not sure if cingular gives you a refurbished one or not though, good luck.

As with any REFURB, 35% of the time you'll end up with something that will encounter problems again. So if possible - get a WARRANTY if available to protect yourself.

never. if they broke once, they will break again. DON'T EVER skimp and get a refurb just bcuz it's cheaper. you will always wind up getting another phone bcuz of it.
