Yes, people say imitation is the biggest form of flattery, but this chick is really getting on my nerves. I'll have a pair of shoes on, and she'll say "Ooohhh!! I want those shoes, I gotta get those. They are so cute! Where did you get them?" Or she'll say she's going to try to find the pair of jeans I have on to buy for herself. Worst yet is I just got a HOT jacket that I am pretty sure that not many others would have in my area, and she saw me ordering it online and is about to buy it for herself. I work with her, so I can't avoid her. I 'm to the point where I lie about where I get my stuff so she can't try to get things I have!! How do I politely tell her that I appreciate that she likes my stuff, but I like my individuality and I don't like for her to "cramp my style". I

pick up a shirt or something and say to her... "wow i really like this shirt, but my friend probably has it. ugh, i hate how she tries to copy me all the time. don't you just hate that?"

You need to talk to her. In the nicest way possible tell her that you like that your style is different from everyone else and that it is a little trouble some for you. Offer to have her go shopping with you so that you can help her pick out some clothes for herself that are not just like ones that you have. But be up front and honest with her, because lying or pretending that it is not bothering you will only make it worst. She is just fashion clueless and is looking for inspiration. Tell her nicely, as you said, she probably admires your look and wants to try it for herself. If she is still being like this, and you feel she's doing it purposely, then tell her that you're buying something that's ugly (don't do totally ugly...that's just being mean). Maybe just something that went out of style a while ago. Don't do the second suggestion if you think that she sincerely doesn't get it.

she sounds as if she has self confidence issues and isn't sure of her own sense of style tell her what you think would look nice on her and try complementing her fashion choices even if you have to go as far as saying "wow i could never pull that off ,but it looks great on you" it will boost her confidence but be sure you mean it you may not like her now but maybe after some fine tuning she might actually be a pleasant person

Next time she says that as you are ordering something, just say " No you can't get that or people will think we are twins...lol" And find one in another color or similar and show it to her. That way she will feel like she has won your approval on her clothing choice without having the same thing.

You could nicely say that she is getting on your nerves and that you want her to leave you alone sometimes and just let you wear your shoes in peace haha.

Straight up tell her. It's the only way she'll get the hint.

tell her that she's stealing your soul and that if she likes your style fine but please don't get the exact same thing as you.
I like the dressing up like a hobo idea though too, that would be pretty funny, maybe then she would start doubting your fashion sense.
