I didn't know my green snake was in a family way when I bought her and this morning I found a baby green snake poking around in there! I had to go to work so didn't have time to seperate them, but was wondering if that was necessary. There's also 3 anoles in there. It's a pretty good sized vivarium and everyone is well fed. Do I have to seperate everybody?

All snakes are capable of eating other snakes and their own young, that's why they run and hide as soon as they hatch. It is best to separate it if you want to keep them both live and healthy.

Well, judging from the previous answer, (serpys) I would say the snake you have is not a green snake, if indeed there is a small snake in the vivarium that was not there before. I would recommend seperating the baby, it will be easier to make sure it gets enough to eat anyway, and you will be on the safe side with the possibility of canniblism.

Green snakes are egg layers, depositing four to ten eggs in a rotten log in late spring or early summer. The seven- to eight-inch young hatch 60 to 70 days later.
Green snakes reach adult size (21/2 - 3feet) in 2 years.
They do not eat thier young

I highly doubt that the green snake would eat the hatchling or the anoles, especially since it is well fed. I would still probably put dividers in the terrarium just to be more natural.
