i try to, but unless you are in the "special group" you are treated like crap!

I work in a small college print shop and we all get along for the most part and settle any differences we have with one and other in a positive manner.
Accept for one guy, who has imaginary problems with everyone! He will do anything to get you riled up and then smirk when he has gotten you to react! He has been spoken to by the supervisor to no avail. We all do our best to avoid any kind of confrontation with him because it is a small shop to work in and you can cut the atmosphere with a knife when there is tension going on between people working in the shop. You just never know what you might say to him unknowingly or someone else that might "set him off". It got so bad that we all started taking more days off that usual since we had the time saved up.
Then it happened! We were reported for discrimination against him because he was an Indian! This was bogus and proved to be so. Charges were dismissed!
Soon after, he put in for retirement. He died a year and a half after he retired. It was such a sad situation because we all tried over and over again to get this guy to see that we had nothing against him. We included him in everything we did or planned in the department.

I find that there are a few factors to getting along with everyone you work with:
1. Do your job the absolute best you can.
2. Take responsibility for your "mess ups", BEFORE someone comes to tell you you have made a mistake.
3. stay OUT of the gossip.
4. Try harder to be interested in what everyone else is going through, and be less concerned with talking about what is going on in your life.
5. (in other words) Listen to others , a lot more than you talk about yourself.

I get along with everybody i work with. I work for the family business so usually if i have issues its with the family haha.

i usually get along with all the ppl i work with but i don't always get the people that i want to work with there is a good side and a bad side for everything

I try to as well, there will always be that one person who you cant stand. In every job you have.. Just try your best, that's all you can do. Not everyone is going to like you either, keep that in mind as well.
There are those who try to backstab you too..

i love the people i work with--there are one or two, i could take or leave, but for the most part we are all great friends...now, if we could get rid of our b-eatch of a boss we would really have a great time!

it is hard some times to tollerate some of the people we are forced to share space with--oh well if it was fun they wouldnt call it work
