Commutative: a+b=b+a a*b=b*a
Associative: (a+b)+c=a+(b+c) (a*b)*c=a*(b*c)
Identity: a+0=a=0+a a*1=a=1*a
Distributive: a(b+c)=ab+ac and (b+c)a=ba+ca

Distributive is where x(y+z)=xy+xz (can be subtraction instead of addition too)

assiciative is where x+(y+z)=(x+y)+z (can also be multiplication)

commutative (I'll add this since it's probably needed) is where x+y=y+x (can also be multiplication). For this one, there can be other stuff, as in (x+y)+z=(y+x)+z
