Black people have so many names for our various shades.....like:"red-bone" for example. So what is "pecan brown"?

Its like a golden Brown. It's mostly used on the east coast to discribe puerto ricans. In the Mid west we sometimes refer to them as "butter pecan" or just simply brown skined

It's like the color of a pecan.. kinda like caramel and brown mixed together. not to dark not to light.

color of a pecan. slightly lighter than a normal brown so I would guess it's more for lighter skinned blacks.
