Believe it or not, I've used the "non-natural" products" to no avail.
Believe it or not, sometimes a good plunger does the trick. It's worked for me more often than Draino.

Well, I have done plumbing for many years and I never use ANY liquid or powdered products.Unscrew the trap from under your sink.It is probably loaded with hair, toothpaste ect.Clean that out first. If it apperars clear, use a small drain auger (leaving the p trap off still) and snake it into the rest of the pipe, going into the wall. You should clear any clogs that way.I am assuming you want the natural because you have a septic system? If you use a chemical type, you can add BACK live bateria into your system (like Rid X).

Is a pipe wrench a natural product? It is made of iron and nickel. Anyway the best way to unclog a sink drain is to remove the drain trap under the sink using the tool above. Remove the debris and reinstall it and you will be all set.
The drain trap is the thing shaped like the letter J and has a coupling above and below it.

Try a wire hanger. It gets down deep into your sink and is a little flexible but sturdy enough to stand up to pulling out debri. It gets under hair well, and if you spin it a lot of times you can get out a lot of gunk in one pull. Then run hot, hot water down it and plunge. If you change your mind about the natural products make sure you get Drano Gel. Its a lot thicker and works a heck of a lot better than Liquid Plumber. Good luck!

The best natural product to use is your hands! Take out the trap and clean it out.... just make sure you get some teflon thread tape to put it back together.

Try pouring some white vinegar and hot water down the drain first, then get out the plunger.

Roll up your sleeves, take firm grip on a sturdy little plunger and start pumping. This should clean out anything lodged in the pipes.

if there is NO standing water in it...pour 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain and then pour white vinegar until you see it bubble...stand back because it could "explode" (not a bang explode)...if this doesn't work...then you need to go to the store and buy a drain un-plugger in a bottle
