Until recently, I never realized how many people get really pissed if you don't agree with them on political issues. I mean it comes from both Democrats and Republics. If you say you like Bush, you're called every name in the book and told that you like war and you enjoy seeing our Military being killed in Iraq. If you say you don't like him, you're called Anti-American, and then it's somehow turned into if you're not supporting Bush, that somehow means you have no support or respect for our Armed Forces, which is not true.
Instead of people getting all mad about our different beliefs, we should all be thankful we live in a Country where you're free to vote the way we want even if others don't agree with you.
I'm a registered Republican and I'm not ashamed of it, but I don't agree with all the issues many Republicans agree on. I support gay rights, and though I personally wouldn't have an abortion, I certainly don't think the Government has the right to take that choice away from people. Those are two major issues that I absolutely don't agree with when it comes to Republicans views. And I would vote for a Democrat President, just as I have before, in a heartbeat if I agreed they were the better choice for America. I find that makes a lot of Republicans angry, and I have no clue why!
The truth is you're never going to please everyone, so don't try! Believe the way you want, and respect the beliefs of others, even when you don't agree with them.
There is a reason that our parent's teach us to never talk politics and religion with other people....It starts fights!
