yup, my roommate in college and I used to use it. I did have some experiences in larger groups, but it usually turned out that someone was goofing and making the thing move. But with just my roommate, we made a pact to not move it on purpose. We did seem to make contact with several spirits, most of them nice, but one was kind of scary. Still don't know if it's all subconscious or if it;s real, but for some reason, it always made our eyes tear. it was very emotional, even the times when it wasn't scary. Very strange.

Yes. It was pretty interesting and I can see why people would think they are connecting with the spirit world. I think what is actually happening is that there is more to the physical world than we understand, we know more than we think we do, and we are all mentally connected to each other, so when a group of people puts their hands together, without being consciously aware of what we are doing, we push the pointer-thingy (?) to logical places and make sense out of seemingly nonsensical information. There's no danger in it except if you get a wiseguy trying to make it dangerous.

Why is it evil just because we don't understand it?

Yes. It was about as insightful as pulling out the Chutes & Ladders board.

For a more insightful experience with friends, I suggest Monopoly.

Yes and I got told in a spiritualist church never to use them as they open up the gates for evil spirits.

When I was a kid. And, the more I thought about it - it scared the crap out of me, and I threw it away. I would NEVER have one in my home - or allow one used in my presence.
There is too much evil in the world, why invite it into your home?
