First of all, make sure it's a virus. Follow these steps:
1. Install it on your home computer.
2. Install it on your work computer.
3. If you are looking for a job, write your resume while it's active
4. Do online banking.
5. Send as email attachment to all your best friends, and ask them to send to their friends.

If you don't hear any complaints, or your bank account is not going down within 2 weeks, it's not a virus. Go find another one.

Secondly, decide on a delivery method. You can use USPS, UPS, Fedex, email or create a web page for others to download. If you use physical carriers, burn it on a CD or DVD (floppies are outdated, a lot of people don't use them any longer). If you email it, make sure you use your employer's email account, it carries more authority.

Lastly, don't forget to let people know how to contact you. Afterall, it's the feedback that's most exciting!

Here's a wake up call for you - that would probably be a felony. With everything that goes along with it - having to say "yes" when a job application asks "Ever been convicted of anything", not being able to vote, etc etc. Plus probably $15K to $25K in legal fees - which will be hard to pay off with the kind of jobs you can get as a convicted felon....

Please don't...viruses are not as awesome as the hype implies.
Describing things like:
"Dude that was totally viral!" and "Virus to the maximus!"
Those phrases may sound cool when people say them ,but believe me, viruses are no fun. Anyway, doesn't anyone have the courtesy to hire a hitman anymore? We truly do live in a technology age when we use computers to hurt people...Just the other day I saw someone hurl a monitor at another person...just awful.

If you wrote a virus yourself, then you would know how to distribute it as well. Nowadays all the people think they are hackers just if they can find some exploits (made by others) or viruses (also made by others). You better learn C and Assembler so you can developing something useful....
