No but rather we should support Muslims and the Arab world. They are the only single group of people that is able to stand against terrorist. The true terrorist are the people in our governments led by the US and UK government and their allies. If US govt can plan and execute 911 bombing to kill it's people, then will they even suffer a minor guilty will slaughtering Iraqis and Lebanese in the name of terrorist. Fox please read it all at www.infowars.com or just perform a google search for videos done by Alex Jones and see all the evidences. So let's stop these terrorist and kick the out of our governments. Islam and support of the Muslims is the only way out.

This is indeed a wonderful question........................as some of the other answers remind us that not all asian people looking people are muslim, islamic or muhamaden it is possible that they may be white, black, chinese, indonesian or even arab/isreali !!!!! Silly is'nt it ! When we ask individuals what religion they are, before they board a plane and deny them this surely is wrong...To deny Muslims (from all countries) to fly is wrong!!!!!!!!!Are we to have religion added to our passports? And what about people from other countries , would they do this too? Point to ponder, if Turkey joins the E.E.C. and it does look likely does the reader then realise there will be a sudden influx of islamics that the questioner cannot begin to realise their numbers and again not all of them are muslims either. (Coptic christians , curds and other persuasions ) too, will head for the U.K. I do not pretend to know the answer , but it seems that all the backing for ( these terrorists)seems to be steming from both Syria and Iran. Therein lies the problem , there leaders want to wipe Israel off the map and they beleive that our leaders are the baddies in support of Israel , and they induct vunerable people into beleiving that , by being a "beleiver" that they will be a martyr and bomb whatever under any flag the supporters of Israel are ........If they desroy Israel and G-d forbid they do , where will they stop?????Would they then start on Spain ??It too was a so called muslim country once apon a time???????? I am very worried , what's next ARMAGEDON????????????????????

The airlines already have profiling as far as what it is you can take onto an aircraft. When the 9/11 terrorists used small knives and box cutters, those items were added to the high profile list of banned items. But because liquid explosives had never been used before by any terrorists, liquids were not banned - even though the authorities were well aware of such a possibility.
By concentrating only on 'people that look like terrorists' you'd be playing into the terrorists trap, because they only have to attack us with people that do not look like them. Similarly, concentrating on box cutters and not on liquid made bombs made us vunerable.
Racial Profiling = False Security
Believing that 'Islamic facsists' will never use a white or chinese muslim to carry out an attack would be just as dangerous a thought as thinking they would never use liquid explosives. But now we know better.

The problem is as Maly said. The majority of muslims are law abiding decent people but there are those that hide amongst them that want to bring terror and death to others. The fact of the matter is,the recent attacks have all been carried out by people claiming to be muslims but are in fact just radical extremists. This means that the focus of prevention will sway more towards the muslim community as a whole and whilst by some it may be deemed as rascist,it is something that must be done to try and fight the fight against these cowards. They do not discriminate against the people they kill....anyone will do!!Man,woman, child, black white, brown or yellow,it matters not to them.At the end of the day innocent people should have nothing to fear, and it is for the protection of all that these measures are being talked about. If it upsets a few people then its tough,as long as it helps to prevent the attrocities of the past being repeated then so be it.I,for one, wouldnt mind if i was kept a little longer being checked out,if it meant we could all fly in safety

I find it amazing that some of these answers are coming from so-called intelligent people from the so-called greatest nation on earth. Do we as Americans truly care about truth, justice and freedom. Does anyone want to peak behind the curtain, to see if the wizard really is a wizard? Has it ocurred to any of you, that muslims may see us terrorists?

The first to invade their region were Europe's crusaders and then came the oil companies.

Hey, what do you think the chances are of us never hearing anything about muslim terrorists again, if we would just leave their region?

I, personally, think they would be good. And the best part is; you'll never have to entertain this stupid f#?/king question again....

Absolutely they should be profiled! We don't seem to care that they profile child molesters, rapists, felony ex-cons of all types, and people with bad breath. Potential terrorists COUNT ON THE FACT that people are fighting the profiling efforts. I personally think the ACLU is going wayyyyy to far lately. Terrorists prey on weaknesses because that is their mode of operation. Read the "Satanic Verses" book by Rushdie, and you'll suddenly understand the Muslim Extremists in a different way.
I look mid-eastern myself (I'm of German descent), and I am very tolerant of the fact that they select me to search a lot when I travel. The problem is, we've lived a life of relatively hassle-free existence for the most part, and now the slightest little inconvenience gets our bowels in an uproar. It's time to toughen up and figure it out that the rest of the world envies us and subsequently hates us. Travel to another country, and you'll figure it out pretty quick.

I was thinking of this before and during my flight today. It occurred to me that if there were some risk that was uniquely attributable to women (say that the Amazon Army was known to be operating under cover), we would not hesitate to "ethnically profile" travelers and single out women for secondary inspection.

Is it only political correctness that keeps us from singling out men with beards, say, for secondary inspection? Yes it is. And it is justifiable as economy of police time.

In fact, profiling does not just use race and physical appearance. It has been developed to a fine art by El Al and Israeli security, and there is no reason that brief interviews structured to elicit potential threat shouild not be introduced.

If everytime a bank was robbed, it was a teenage boy with purple colored hair, and this goes on for a few years. Now you are a bank teller and a teenage boy with pruple hair is coming in the door, what do you do? The ideal here is NOT religious persecution, but profiling the assailant.

a) search him, better safe than sorry
b) take your chances

One of these answers will keep you safer and piss off a few, the other one could cost you your life, you decide. Bad manners vs death...

If you have a better answer for safety, let's hear it.

if im totaly honest with you and this isnt being racist, as im mixed race myself, if my profile fitted that of some one who by description looked like a possibility no matter how small but is more than a hundred times more than a white mans, i would let them check me proudley to show them i wasnt a guilty member of one of theses sick little terrorist organisations, because i inturn want to know that me and my family are safe !!!!!! oh yeah and i just read essexfreindly and what hes saying is exactly right its profiling not punishing this human right stuff is goin a little bit over the top and as far as im concerend these people are as bigger fascists as any 1 so you are trying to single out a hatred of another culture so there. Also all this we should get out of there country rubbish makes me laugh theres nowhere left in our country without them!!!!!!

At first I thought yes of course they should, but after giving it some thought, I decided that if that happened, one they would cry blue murder about racism, but more importantly they would find Muslims who either did not look like Muslims, or even non Muslims. Similar to the I.R.A. use of "lily whites" men who had no criminal record and who had blended in to English life "sleeping" untill they were summoned to bomb somewhere.
So I believe EVERONE should be thoroughly searched and the security should be up to israels el al airline, the safest in the world. although a big target of muslims, they just cant get near them.
