You gotta have class, gumption, professionalism, and a fresh start approach. You want to be willing to make the company bigger and better than it is. And I say you GOTTA be a people person!

I worked for the worlds worst CEO ever. Things this CEO was lacking in were
Managerial Skills, Honesty (especially with Accounting), Integrity, Compassion, Factual Knowledge of the company, Don't be an alcohalic, and don't be bipolar!
If this CEO had any of the above mentioned skills, the business would have boomed.

I worked for a number of CEOs, and the most important (if not desireable) qualities they possessed were: ruthlessness; avarice; selfishness; arrogance; hubris; incompetence; and cowardism - the same qualities you find in American politicians.

Ambitious, yet people oriented - and I'm not just talking about to the customer. Success can be measured in various aspects. To maintain a name, customer service is key. To maintain customer service, good employee relations are key. Motivate your employees, they will do the walking for you.
