You have to feel the consequences of procrastinating for it to really sink in. For me it was starting late on two major assignments, never getting them in, and failing Drama II. Tough love is the only way to learn.

Change works best when you do it slowly. Start by making a list of things you need to do and put it in order by due date. Don't change anything else yet, just get into the habit of making the list. Create a new list when it makes sense to you. If you list changes everyday, you might want to create a daily list, otherwise a weekly or monthly list will do just fine.

After you have gotten into the habit of making the list, start to do some of the things on your list. See how much you can get done in one day. Then reward your self with something you like. (new clothes, spend the day with friends, or whatever)

After you are comfortable with making list and doing the things on the list, improve your list. Make it more efficient. If you have 10 things to do away from home, try to group them by the area they are in. For things within your home you may want to group by room. Or you might want to try prioritizing the list.

Set an alarm clock for your start time and make yourself do it. reset the alarm every 1 and a half hours to rest 10 mins and start again. Reward yourself everytime you finish an important task. Whether it be a cup of ice coffee or a new cd. Also try reading this site http://www.mentalhelp.net/poc/view_doc.php?type=doc&id=9783&cn=353

whenver you have time, do whatever it is that you have to do. it sounds difficult, but remember that the hardest part about doing work is getting started

if you feel yourself slacking off and you have a lot of work left, remember how stressed out you'll be if you procrastinate

however, if procrastinating WORKS for you (as it does for me in school..tee-heee) just try not to do it too much.

You should make a list of everything including a checklist and estimate how long it will take to finish each task. Then you time yourself and try your best to finish before the time runs out. It works for me!

you could make a list and torture yourself everytime you don't meet deadlines, but i don't recommend that.

actually, a good thing to do would be to remember your goals and reward yourself when you complete something. good luck!
