Is the average person a complete moron?

I was happily browsing my other deliciously-created questions, and someone reminded me that the average IQ is 100.

I've only socialized with people whose IQs have been at the very least 125--luckily--so I'm not exactly sure how people with IQs of 100 behave. (This is when I praise the American education system for separating the garbage from the elite through honors courses, etc.)

How do they behave? Can they even comprehend words that are not monosyllabic? Are they truly....morons?

Well, the average American is far less educated average citizens of most other developed countries. So I wouldn't necessarily call them morons, just inexcusably (for calling themselves the greatest nation on earth and spending so much on education) ignorant.

Yes, the average person is a complete and utter moron. Go out in public and you will be bombarded with them. They will come at you from every angle....on the roadways, in the stores, even in your own home they come in through the TV or radio. You can hear them talking on their cell phones (a device that seems to make a stupid person even stupider) about some of the most moronic BS you've ever heard. I believe that they are kind of like apes. I think evolution just missed a step with these people. And I understand you praising the education system for separating the garbage from the elite, but many idiots still somehow sneak through. This is because the parents have the money to buy a good education. Most people are on a Forrest Gump level of intelligence, but they are not nearly as nice or warm hearted as he.

First, where are you getting the information that the average IQ is 100?

Second, I can't believe you can be such a pompous *** and group people into little boxes without even knowing them. Some people may not be able to form a perfectly structured sentence, but their life experience may make them wiser than their years. It must be nice to live in your little bubble. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when one of those 100 IQ people survives a virtual apocalypse because of their street smart or worldly wisdom and you're stuck in the mud using multisyllabic words.

Even though you may have an IQ to boast about, you're one of the dumbest people I've seen on here.

I have had my IQ tested a couple of times and got scores of 135 and 140. While I would have to agree that most people are not very clever. I see little intelligence in calling people garbage. I think I would rather hang out with a stupid kind person than an intelligent unkind person any day of the week.

Since 66% fall in the average range you don't have to look far to find them. Many of them are probably your relatives, neighbors and coworkers. You probably have never associated with people in the true elite group of 145 and above so in your case you would be considered high average at best. The great thing about your true morons is they usually are genuinely loving individuals, who accept menial work and show up every day with a smile on their face. They are loved by their bosses and coworkers and generally keep their jobs for years. They sometimes can even teach the pseudo elitists that kindness, consideration and sensitivity can be learned even by them.

Just take the time to get off of your Ivy League pedestal and mingle once in a while. A truly intelligent person does not HAVE to brag about their social, economic status, or intelligence. Their true character will come out and guide them through life. No one likes a jerk, even smart people.
Besides if you don't like mingling with the average joes, what the hell ya doin' on this site?
