Public breast feeding should be encouraged, most definitely; but, not the kind that's in evidence today. Instead, the breast should be fully exposed and not covered - that way observers could enjoy the feeding just as much as mother and child.

yes because breasts should not be bared in public, there is no such thing as an emergency breast feeding, women who do this in the open are disgusting, they need to take it into a special room or in a broom closet or something, most women want to do this to prove some point about motherhood, you don't change your baby's crappy diaper on a restaurant table so why would you breast feed at one?

No. Congress needs to stop wasting time on stupid personal trivia. People should have the common decency not to breastfeed in public. That's what breast pumps were made for.

Because the federal government is one of limited enumerated powers, based solely on what the Constitution allows them to do.
And nothing in the constitution governs this kind of conduct, which means it's outside the scope of federal authority.

Yes. I know it's natural, but save it for home ladies, in public like on a train etc. or something like that, it's kinda disturbing. Bring a bottle for public places like that.

I don't see why the government has to be involved in this matter when there are other things they need to be concerned with. Breastfeeding is natural between a mother and her baby.

I have to say NO I breast fed my daughter there is a way to be descret about it in public though.
