It was polluted enough,until Lita thew the spinner belt into it . That's as much damage like pouring a gallon of oil into it.

It's a storyline man. The belt was probably fake or the belt was probably taken out of the water after the cameras came back to Edge.
What do i mean? Remember when The Rock threw Stone Cold's Smokin Skull belt into the detroit river in 99 and the belt later reappeared? That's what i mean.
