Closing the eyes is part of the sneeze reflex. it's a defense mechanism of the eyes to reduce sneeze sprays landing in our eyes. However, our eyes are exposed constantly to ,viruses and bacteria without eyes closing. It's a reflex -meaning we have no conscious contol of sneezes. Instead, the primitive part of the brain the medulla oblongata located at the top of the spine;calls the shots. The reflex triggers major muscles of the face, throat, and chest to fire out gunk going at 100mph(150kph)as as fast as a pitcher's fastball. Most people tighten the eye muscles causing them to shut,as they tighten the other muscles involved in a sneeze. But not all do . Some sneeze with their eyes open. Either way, it's part of the inborn sneeze reflex.

No you cannot sneeze with your eyes open. It is physically impossible because everytime you sneeze your heart actually stops for that split second. Therefor you cannot keep your eyes open

nope you cant, because when you sneeze you use all the muscles in your face and the ones that shut your eyes, are obviously being used to project the air out of your nose.
