Here's my list of the best TRUE tag teams, that actually originated as tag teams, and were not just two singles stars temporarily thrown together (although later some of these guys became big singles stars after their tag team run). My criteria was that they had to be DOMINANT as tag teams when they were together (way more wins than losses), and I think you'll agree (assuming some of the younger people here know them all-some are from a few years ago):

1. Legion Of Doom a.k.a The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal)
2. Rockers/a.k.a The Midnight Rockers (Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty)
3. Rock & Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson)
4. Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane)
5. The British Bulldogs (Dynamite Kid & Davey Boy Smith)
6. Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart)
7. Ole & Arn Anderson (later part of the Four Horsemen)
8. The Wild Samoans (Afa & Seka)
9. The Funks (Dory Funk Jr. & Terry Funk)
10. Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy)

Honorable Mention#1: Eddie & Chavo Guerrero (Eddie was already an established singles competitor before they wrestled as a team, but they had a ton of fun and entertained the fans immensely wherever they went, around the world.)

Honorable Mention #2: The Dudley Boys. Dominant, still kicking butt.
Honorable Mention #3: The Blackjacks (Lanza & Mulligan). Again, both singles stars before becoming a team, but mean, nasty, and kicked butt. Now WWE Hall of Famers.

Honorable Mention #4: Mr. Fuji & Mr Saito (Kickin' it old school, Japanese style!)

There were more I could have included, but we'll leave it at that for now.

They had some of the greatest tag team matches of all time.
