Before you use this forum to bash the US again, id like to tell you about myself; I'm an american. I'm a college student. I hate George Bush. I am very liberal. i can point out ANYTHING on a map. and im not obese. oh, and i've traveled through most of europe. I was just wondering why you bash the US using your own stereotypes? isnt that just as ignorant? remember most of the kids on this site are just that, kids who dont know anything. im sorry you have extensive contact with the US via yahoo answers. oh, im sure a lot of you will tell me youve been here and you dont simply get all of your knowledge from the BBC, but seriously, we're just as fed up with our government as you are (the christian conservatives might be another story, but hey, isnt Blair born-again). oh and churchill was a fat-***.

PS- IMPEACH BUSH!!! CLINTON 2008!!!

haha, i ask a question about stereotypes and i get answers using them, way to reinforce my point.

PLEASE READ THE QUESTION. i'm not generalizing all British people, only the ones who use stereotypes, I am studying in London this spring, I love the UK and my parents are Irish. I do know many americans stereotype the UK as well, but that is not the question.

Bill Gates is rich sure, but he is also one of the biggest philanthropists the world has ever seen.

Err, excuse me,I'm a Brit and never once have I ever "bashed the Americans"!!!!! Please do not judge us all by a minority of comments you read on here,if indeed there were/are any!!!As for the BBC,never watch the channel! Look, I have many American friends,I talk to them on a daily basis, via my personal email system. You said yourself, there are many kids on here,so why take notice of kids? You're an adult,so act like one. There is of course a lot of "Brit bashing on here, by some Americans, bad teeth, smelly, lazy. Its pretty obvious THEY have never been to the UK, because we're not like that at all! Did I mind? Of course not! I'm an adult, and learn to accept that folk will have a banter, its normal! Try not to take it to heart, sticks and stones? We love you guy's really,I promise you! As for Blair? He's a complete idiot!!
kirstie ma......... "The BBC is, as far as it can be possible, an objective and unbias source of media." You can't be serious? The BBC is one of the most biased channels there is! Americans fat? Why don't you look closer to home? Most in this country are FAT, so whose calling the kettle???? Try speaking truthfully!

To everyone answering:

First of all, to show that he is not alone in America, I am JUST like him. I just graduated college in 2005. I hate Bush (the president, not the... you know...). I am extremely liberal. I know my geography. I'm not a fat ***, and I've been to Germany, and the Netherlands (along with the london hethrow airport).

And to tell you the truth, I'm really sick and tired of hearing all this America bashing too. We have a crappy government -- sure. But the people aren't evil, nor are they all fat. Bush's approval rating is in the low 30s percentile. We don't all love him over here.

The truth is that America is a huge country. Describing the culture of Arkansas vs California is like describing the difference between England and Turkey. We are very diverse in our beliefs and ideals, so to say that all Americans are a certain way is like saying that all Europeans are a certain way. And what is all this b!tching going to do, anyway? It'll just piss us off.

Sorry I kinda went on a rant there.

Churchill like most politicians wasn't too smart and full of hate. the American president begged him to bomb German synthetic oil facilities - he bombed innocent people in Berlin. he was an idiot arsehole with a big mouth. Tony Blair isn't a bad guy - he has just been corrupted by power and hasn't the guts to sack ministers even more corrupt. George W Bush - is very much like Churchill, blinded by hate. But he was weird before you made him president. He sent a lot of people to their death as governor of Texas. But generally speaking the British get on fine with Americans - they're not all fat greedy bastards. Bill Gates isn't fat - just greedy. The obese not always greedy - just fat. We have this in the UK too.

It is not "ignorant" to point out the OBVIOUS. There is an elephant in the room, and it is ignorant to act as if this is not a fact.

The problem is that not enough Americans are bashing the US (and, I mean the elected leaders in both the white house and Congress.) It is time to face up to the problems and be honest about the worst president in the 230-year history of our country. This is the only way we can effect change.

OK so you prove that you are in the minority you actually own a passport and have apparently travelled, although from your crass nature you are obviously American to the core, I am not denying a % of Americans are intelligent however they are are obviously only a small % or Bush would not of been elected for a second term.

please don't generalise- I try not to be prejudice towards any country, nor am i influenced (too much) by what i see on the tv or read in newspapers. I think the problem is that not enough people are open minded, and are easily wound up on this site.
Im sorry you feel how you do, but i also resent your comments, as they are just as hurtful as the ones made about the US.
Best of luck, : ) xxxx

they are as undesirable as one yet another. yet at the same time as I hate his Tonyness a minimum of he's clever. Bush has the iq of an oyster (in basic terms look up bushisms). i did no longer help the conflict, even earlier it began. united states of america of america in basic terms needed revenge for 9/11. It could no longer (or did no longer choose to) locate Osama, yet they did have Saddams abode handle and so he coped the lot, even in spite of the undeniable fact that Iraq had no connection to 9/11. Blair replaced into re-elected as best minister via fact he's chief of the Labour social gathering that gained the final election. The Conservatives at that factor presented no actual selection to Labour (they'll next time) we don't vote for a primary Minister we vote for a political social gathering in assessment to human beings interior america of a who easily voted for "George the muppet" nicely easily greater of you voted for Al Gore, yet thats US democracy at artwork!

I'm Irish, but I know what you mean. I've been in chatrooms and people have said 'are you in the IRA?'. I hate sterotypes.

Your president is a moron, but that's not your fault. You seem cool, although I do think that last part of your question was a bit unnecessary.

Because half of you cant read, the other half cant even walk to McDonalds because they are so fat.
Tony Blair may born again but atleast he does not confuse politics and religion.
The BBC is, as far as it can be possible, an objective and unbias source of media. I have been to several places in America and you are either fat or you eat cotton wool.
Ignorant? you are just arrogant ****!!

Are you speaking for everyone in the U.S.A.?
I don't think so.
Clinton should have been impeached, and Hillery will never make it to the presidential office.

Democrats have no agenda, except tax and spend.
