Has anyone ever gone somewhere and felt like noone can see you? For example, a restaraunt , your sitting there and waitresses just keep passing you by for a long period of time?

It happens to me all the time....I thought I was the only one this seems to happen to. It seems that waitresses choose the people who are loud and obnoxious. Perhaps they want to get rid of them quicker.
Maybe it's because I am small and am very quiet. I hate being the center of attention..and really hate it when people go out of their way to embarrass me. But...whatever the reason it does suck....I hate to just sit and wait as the waitress just walks by me.

Yes, once at a Halloween party. Everyone there was from the same school and I was the only one who went to a different school. It was unbelievable, and not the good kind. No one even noticed I was there, they brushed past me and didn't even turn around. People talked to me, but only two or three minutes for that whole party, and it was only short conversations, then they left. It was a relief to finally leave when the party was over.

But I'm a shy person anyways. :-)

Oh yes, many times. Even when driving, I get cut off like I'm not there and it'a so rude. How about church? Sitting there waiting for mass to start and seeing friends and waving to them and they act like they didn't even see you. That's the worse case of lack of caring for someone. I have almost given up on people lately. There's no justification for such unthoughful acts. I try not to make eye contact lately....It's the safest way so you don't get hurt or angry.....it's difficult not to feel both emotions at once......

Yeah it sucks.
People can be mean sometimes.
Obviously status or in this case the way you look plays a major role in getting attention.
Though I'm the type whose surprisingly patient when it happens & kinda lets the moment pass by because it's karma.
Whatever the bad deed they do is gonna come back at them.

Yes, I used to feel invisible at school alot-- like I never really fit in with any of the groups. I am alot better in groups of people now, but sometimes it's still weird. And sometimes I actually do wish I was invisible. ;)

I used to before I had the kids. Now I wish sometimes I could be invisible if just for the peace and quiet.

No, only losers would feel invisible.
P.S I dont mean your a loser

P.S.S And the reason that the waitress keeps on passing you is because you never called on her.

P.S.S.S I like applesauce

That usually doesn't happen because I will MAKE SURE they do their job and give me exceptional service. I'm not rude about it unless if they get rude with me. Gotta be more aggressive girl else ppl will just keep on "passing you by in life".

All the time grew up as the "fat kid" wasn't until I got older that I was able to shape up and have people not look pass me.
