Amazing question. Two near-perfect killing machines, proven by their unchanged nature over millions of years of evolution.

I would have to say it would depend entirely on the environment.

Awesome question though - someone should set it up and pit one of each against the other! That'd be like Alien vs Predator eat your heart out!

Jaws would rip'm apart. Starting by drawning it, it has better teeths to rip rather than clamp'n and try to rotate a huge great whitie.

i would have to say the shark.
crocodiles are slow, and they have a really bad turning radius.
