Do you mean gerome or a gourami?

I have no clue what a Gerome is? If you mean a gourami these fish are a pain and love picking on other fish especially if you have multiple gouramis one will become dominant and harrass the other gourami to death. My advice get rid of the fish and try something else. If I was to guess you have a blue gourami and they seem to be the most aggresive of the bunch. Opal gourami's are somewhat aggresive and the dwarf gourami's are a good community fish.

Good luck,
OT
