I know so many online guys who are gathering self development ideas online. They want to try each and every idea they find.

They don't believe they would be able to keep track of all their personal experiments. So they bunch it all together and do whatever they can, not now, but in the future, so they say.

If you can't tell, I suffer from the same problem.

I am addicted to adopting new mindsets and expanding my views on life. People tell me I have done a stupendous job. Considering I haven't read an entire page of one book in over 9 years :)

My type of people avoid people, to become more "prepared". We scour the web looking for free information. We've got years worth of reading to do in our computers hardrive. This is nothing compared to what we could learn if we put it into practice.

Some call it perfectionism. I call it time management.

I am living my life now, how my parents, family, and culture want me to live. I think differently, I think I do at least.

I have never heard of "preparing to flow" so I am not able to answer that. But after reading your Q, I understood (i think) what you are saying. There is nothing wrong with expanding as a person. Apparently you feel you have grown enough or you would have continued to read them. Or you decided that's it's really all the same stuff so what's the point in reading the same thing over and over.

Also, how can you "prepare" if you avoid people. That's like preparing for a tennis match by myself..........who is gonna hit the balls back to me? If they really and I mean really wanted to try each and every thing they find then they would start with something.....right? Think about that statement. What is stopping them from doing it? Something is and imo, it's poor fear management.

Example: If you think your boss is going to give you a raise then you are banging on his/her door, right? Now if you think your boss will laugh at you at best then how motivated are you? So apply the same thinking (or mind set) to your Q. Which one do you have?

You are hesitating for a reason and it could be the "quick fix" mentality that so many suffer from. And those folks are "subject matter experts". They are not "substance matters experts". So a subject matter expert is this; I give you a speech and you practice when to raise your voice and slam your hand on the desk. And that means you are a great speaker, but could you write the speech??? That person is the "substance matters expert". Does that make sense? I hope it does.

So the choice is yours. Do you remain or do you expand further. You have come on here and asked this quesiton for a reason. And I know you know the answer to your own question. I have a qoute for you that I love.

THE MORE I TRAIN,
THE HARDER I GET.

THE HARDER I GET,
THE MORE LETHAL I AM.

THE MORE LETHAL I AM,
THE FEWER THE OPPONENTS.

THE FEWER THE OPPONENTS,
THE LESS TO LOSE.

THE LESS TO LOSE,
THE MORE I LET UP.

THE MORE I LET UP,
THE MORE ROOM FOR MISTAKES.

THE MORE ROOM FOR MISTAKES,
THE MORE I TRAIN.
